Slavery on Independence Day!

Minister Yogendra Behera asked his PSO to go beyond the call of duty

Said, I am a VIP

British had left our country and we are celebrating that freedom from colonial bondage each year on 15th August. But the colonial hangover is still there. On this very independence day the new rulers race, Politicians, are encouraging slavery. Hundreds of instances are there. In a fresh incident, today, a political representative in Odisha asked his assistant to put him shoes.

As Odisha MSME Minister  Yogendra Behera  hoisted the national flag at the district level independence day celebration at Keinjar, this shameless incident happened.  of minister putting on the shoes of the  Minister after the district level Independence Day celebrations in Keonjhar on Sunday  has not only raised many a eyebrow , but drawn flak from different fronts.

Notably, Behera hoisted the National Flag in Keonjhar and beforehand he had took off his shoes. After the ceremony, the Minister shamelessly asked his personal security officer  (PSO) to go beyond the call of duty and put on his shoes.

In his reaction minister said,

I am a VIP. I’ve hoisted the flag here; he (PSO) has done that (tied the sandal strap).
