Rotary club of Bhubaneswar Meadows with the support of New India Assurance Co. Ltd organised a program called SAHAYATA to lend its support to the needy ones.
A grand event was organised in the presence of Past Rotary International Director Shekhar Mehta here at Unit-8 Saraswati Sisu Vidya Mandir on friday.
During the event 1000 nos of dual desks were being donated to 28 Rotary clubs for their adopted schools across the state. One Ambulance was donated to Rotary Balasore Eye Hospital. Also hybrid fruit bearing saplings were distributed to 250 women under “Nari Sambrudhi” Program in Nayagarh. 26 differently able persons were donated with wheel Chairs/ Tri cycles.
According to the club authorities, the total cost of the above projects amounting to Rs. 36.78 lakhs has been provided by New India Assurance Company Ltd under their CSR program through their Bhubaneswar Regional Office. Other club members were also present at the event.
The club also has donated Rs. 50000/- from their fund to Ms. Pramodini Roul, the acid attack victim from Jagatsinghpur, for her eye operation.
Rotary District Governor Brig. N.Nayak and New India Assurance Co. Ltd DGM Er. S.K.Behera had also graced the function as Guest of Honour.
