Outgoing Defence minister Arun Jaitley joined the Annual Defence Ministerial Meeting in Japan today. It’s his last foreign visit as Indian Defence minister as Nirmala Sitharaman is going to take the ministry.
Today morning Minister Jaitely received Guard of Honour escorted by his Japanese conterpart Onodera.
Later both the ministers launched a B2B meeting of Indian & Japanese industry to promote defence industrial co-operation. Jaitley is the first Defence Minister to be received by Japan’s new Defence Minister Onodera.
Sitharaman will assume charge of the ministry, when Arun Jaitley returns from his official visit to Japan.
