Odisha: Biometric Attendance For Professors Soon

Bhubaneswar: Government of Odisha is planning to enforce biometric attendance mechanism across colleges and universities to keep record of in and out time for teachers. This system is going to be made compulsory to ensure punctuality among teaching staffs. Department of Higher Education will install machines soon, according to source.

Some colleges have already installed the machine, but they are yet to be fully functional. Meanwhile, members of Federation of University Teachers Association(FOUTA) have raised objection to the decision saying that for few teachers, others should not suspected.

Odisha has more than 900 degree colleges which may get the biometric attendance record system very soon.
