New Delhi: The Election Commission is likely to hold Assembly polls in Odisha, Andhra, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh during Lok Sabha elections due in 2019. The terms of the four state assemblies will end in May and June, next year.
According to media reports, there is a possibility of holding elections to the Jammu and Kashmir assembly also. Since the J & K Assembly has been dissolved, the EC is bound to hold fresh elections within six months. The J & K Assembly’s 6 year term was to end in 2021.
