BAT 2018 Exhibits Mahatma on Celluloid

Bhubaneswar: Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of the Mahatma, Bhubaneswar Art Trail 2018 presented “Mahatma on Celluloid” – an exhibition of selected film posters from the National Film Archives of India, Pune.  The exhibition  officially opened on 3rd December 2018 by Shri Abasara Beuria, former Ambassador, near Champakeswar Temple, off Kotiteertha Lane, Old Town.

The selected posters depict Gandhian values and principles in films in various languages. Movie posters  include classics like the 1951 ‘Andolan’ by Phani Mazumdar and modern movies like ‘ Lage Raho Munnabhai’.

Speaking on this occasion , Ambassador Shri Abasara Beuria said

This exhibition of classic posters on Mahatma Gandhi allows everyone to reconnect with Gandhian ideals and thinking again in this age and I hope more people get an opportunity to come and see this on the Bhubaneswar Art Trail.

The exhibition will stay open to the public from 8 AM to 7 PM every day till 10th Dec 2018.
