Aahaar Centres Across Hospitals to Serve Night Meals

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed authorities to serve dinner at all 54 Aahaar centres in hospital campuses across the state with effect from January 1, 2019.  This step would help poor public attending their relatives at various hospitals.

Government has also decided to open 32 new Aahaar centres on January 26, 2019. People can provide food to poor on occasion of Birthdays, Weddings, Marriage Anniversaries and Death Anniversaries of their near and dear ones using this Aahaar facility.

There are 76 Aahaar Centres in urban localities in the state. However from January 26, the number would be increased to 108.

Earlier, only day meals were served at Aahaar centres. From the beginning the price of the Aahaar meal is Rs 5. Price of the night Aahaar meal will remain the same.
