Bhubaneswar: An uniform Choice-Based Credit Syllabus (CBCS) for undergraduate students and common entrance for PG students will be introduced in all universities of Odisha from next academic session.
Odisha State Higher Education Council took this decision yesterday to maintain quality of education in the state. The uniform curriculum will help the students to compete at national and international levels. The meeting also gave importance on research-based education.
The Vice Chancellors of all the universities, PG Council Chairman and Examination Controllers of universities were present in the meeting.
It’s decided in the meeting that Utkal University will conduct the common entrance for humanities and social science streams. Entrance test for natural sciences will be held at Sambalpur University while Berhampur University will prepare the module for entrance in various other streams including commerce, management and affiliated courses.
