BJD Jealous of Dharmendra’s Work: Odisha BJP

Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is jealous with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan‘s development initiatives in Odisha, accused Bharatiya Janata Paty (BJP).

The statement came as BJD alleged that Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was a failure in the state. The Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), women wing of the ruling BJD yesterday termed the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana ‘a failure’.

In a press statement BJP’s state secretary Lekhashree Samantasinghar said,

BJD’s accusations are baseless. More than 5.8 crore beneficiaries have already availed Ujjwala. But BJD doesn’t have knowledge of this statistics. In a statement in state assembly BJD’s minister Surya Narayan Patro himself admitted that more that 80% of Ujjwala beneficiaries in Odisha were refilling their LPG cylinders.

She also accused that BJD was trying to mislead people with false information.

The Centre provides free LPG connection to rural poor under the Ujjwala scheme.
