SC Gives Clean Chit to Central Govt on Rafale

New Delhi: The Apex Court gave clearance to the Modi Government for the 36 Rafale fighter Jet Planes project today.

Chief Justice Of India, Ranjan Gogoi said

We cannot allow our county to be under prepared, and it is not the job of this court to decide between the price differences of a deal.

The Court also said

We also did not find any substantial element to show that there is any commercial favourism to any private entity.

The allegations of the Opposite party was, that the Government has scraped the deal of 126 Jet planes and entered a new expensive contract just to help Anil Ambani’s defence company bag an offset partnership with the jet manufacturer Dassault.

But all these allegations were set aside by the Supreme Court.
