CM Makes Plethora of Commitments for Odias in Surat

Surat: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Odisha Mahotsav in Surat, Gujarat last evening.

Naveen announced financial aid of 10 crore rupees for establishment of Odia Cultural Centre in Surat. He has requested Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani to provide land for the Centre.

Naveen Patnaik said,

Now Odias in Surat also will avail the benefit of Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana. Odisha govt will request Union Govt to start a direct flight between Surat and Bhubaneswar as well as train services between Berhampur and Surat.

Naveen Patnaik said that Odisha government would try to set up a +2 college in Surat. To give more stress on kids learning Odia language, Odisha would provide them books free of cost, he said. Government is also trying to facilitate Odia students in Surat to appear 10th examination.
