Bhubaneswar Police Seizes Brown Sugar Worth Rs. 38 Lakh

Bhubaneswar: Big achievement for Bhubaneswar police as in a surprise raid the cops seized brown sugar worth Rs 38 Lakh along with the arrest of three accused persons red handed.

The raid was a joint operation of Flying Squad of Bhubaneswar Police and the Excise officials.

According to the information received from the sources the police actively took action on it and immediately raided the slums at Haladipadia and Chintamaniswar in Laxmisagar. From there they found out 350 grams of brown sugar estimated at Rs 38 lakh. They also arrested a woman, her daughter and her would-be son-in-law.

As informed by the Excise officials, the accused used to bring the brown sugar directly from Howrah and sell those in small packets with each priced at Rs 500.

It can be said that the Bhubaneswar Police and the Excise Officials are very active since in 2018 they seized brown sugar from Bhubaneswar on seven occasions.
