Mumbai: After creating sensation on the controversial trailer of “The Accidental Prime Minister”, the Mary Kom director Omung Kumar is heading towards a new movie on a biopic of the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This has been confired by the tweets of Taran Adarsh, a Film Critic and Trade Analyst.
Taran Adarsh in his tweet wrote that, the movie will be titled “PM Namrendra Modi” and Vivekanand Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi) is going to star in it. Sandip Singh will be producing it and the first poster will be released on 7th Jan 2019.

According to a report in Mid-Day, the makers of the film have planned to release the posters of the film on January 7 in 23 languages and may rope in Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to attend the launch. The event is scheduled to take place at the Garware Club House in South Mumbai. A source told mid-day, “Sandeep [Ssingh, producer] and Vivek came up with the idea of roping in the CM for the unveiling. When the makers approached him, he readily agreed.”
In what may seem as a bid to overshadow the release of The Accidental Prime Minister on January 11, the PM Modi biopic is expected to go on floors in mid-January. The trailer launch of The Accidental Prime Minister had created quite a stir among the political circles. Apart from this, the Thackeray trailer, too, based on the life of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray faced backlash for harbouring anti-South Indian sentiments.
