Scientist From Odisha in World’s Most Influential Researchers’ List

Bhubaneswar: Its a proud moment for Odisha as a scientist, Sanjeeb Sahoo, hailing from Nachhipura in Jajpur district, gets his name listed among 4,000 scientists in the World’s Most Influential Researchers’ List, which has been released by the Clarivate Analytics Firm. In that list only 10 are from India.

Sahoo, is a researcher at the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, an is known for the specialisation for use of nanotechnology in cancer drug delivery, especially in cancer cure.

As per the list of the Clarivate Analytics in its fifth edition, eminent scientist and former head of the scientific advisory council to the Prime Minister, CNR Rao has been placed in the list. Notably, Jyoti Mittal is the only woman researcher from India in the list.

The United States is the top-ranking country with the highest number of 2,639 Highly-Cited Researchers (HCR) followed by the United Kingdom that boasts of 546 scientists and China (mainland) with 482.
