CM gives T3 MANTRA to New Comers of OPTCL

Bhubaneswar: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Sri Naveen Patnaik yesterday attended the Induction Program for New Recruitees of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited; a State Transmission Utility held at Jaydev Bhavan. He congratulated all the new comers and urged them to follow the T3 MANTRA i.e Team Work, Transparency and Technology in their coming assignments

During last two years OPTCL has taken up four recruitment drives through a competency based modern talent acquisition process i.e online Computer Based Test (CBT). This has helped the Government to recruit highly skilled and talented young professionals in Odisha Power Sector. Since 2010, OPTCL has recruited 1762 professionals from various disciplines incuding this batch of 100 Electrical Engineers. It has created ample employment opportunity for the local youth of Odisha. Chief Minister praised OPTCL management for their recruitment process. He reiterated the Odisha Government’s Commitment of creating more jobs and he would be personally monitoring its progress.

Hon ble Chief Minister, in the recent past, has approved the implementation of 7th pay recommendation for OPTCL employees. The new comers should feel proud to begin their career in OPTCL and deliver their best professional ability for the growth of OPTCL as well as Odisha Power Sector

Sri Hemant Sharma, IAS, Commissioner-cum Secretary, Energy Department and also CMD, OPTCL in his welcome speech presented many successful facts pertaining to achievement of OPTCL. “The State funded Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project- ODSSP worth Rs 3843 Cr, is also implemented by OPTCL. The progress and impact so far is praiseworthy. The scheme has resulted good improvement of voltage profile in the State” said Sri Sharma

It is to mention that the System Availability of OPTCL is 99.99 % which is highest in the Country. OPTCL has been strengthening the GRID network in the State reaching 144 Nos as on date. OPTCL is also the front runner in the Country in implementing many high-end technologies in Odisha Power Sector like SMART GRID, Gas Insulated Sub-station- GIS, SCADA and Advanced Metering Infrastructure etc. For outstanding contribution and Excellency in Power Sector development, Sri Sharma has been awarded CBIP Award-2019 at New Delhi from Power Minister.

Sri Rajendra Senapati, Director (HRD), OPTCL in his vote of thanks expressed his deep gratitude to Honble Chief Minister for timely approval of proposals for filling up vacancies in OPTCL.
