CBI Gets Its New Chief

Rishi Kumar Sukla New CBI Chief

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Rishi Kumar Shukla is appointed as the new director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today.

Rishi K Shukla’s tenure is two years from the day of his assumption to the office.

The Centre announced the name of next CBI chief, ignoring the objections raised by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.

Shukla will take over the post from M Nageswara Rao who took charge as the interim director from Alok Kumar Verma on October 24.

Shukla’s name was short-listed during the second meeting of the selection committee held yesterday.
