Pak Govt Targets Indian Cricket Team For Sporting Military Cap

Bhuabneswar/Islamabad: In yesterday’s Ranchi match against Australia, team India of Cricket, came to the ground putting on the camouflage military cap for smarting under the Indian air strike on the Pakistan land.

This act of the team triggered anger in Pakistan and as a result the Imran Khan government sought the attention of the International Cricket Council, arguing that sporting of military caps spoils the image of the gentlemen’s game.

A BCCI official said, “Such an attack on Team India by the Pak Govt for the way they carry on in the fields is none of the Pakistan’s business.”

The decision of Virat Kohli’s team to sport the military cap was for showing respect to the martyred soldiers of the Pulwama terror attack during the yesterday’s one day international match against Australia.

Taking an exception to the gesture, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the ICC must do something about it.

The minister urged the PCB to lodge a formal protest against India with the sport’s world governing body.
