Odisha Congress to Field Tainted Businessman From Simulia !

Bhubaneswar: The company name is Unitrack Logistics Private Limited. According to government database company’s Corporate Identification Number (CIN) is U63013DL2000PTC107904 and its registration number is 107904. Company’s registered office is situated at A-4 Cockpit Complex in Mahipalpur area, New Delhi. Company’s registered mail ID is “satapathy_rabi@yahoo.co.in” .

Unitrack Logistics Private Limited was involved in various frauds and scams including the much touted 145 crore Corporation Bank fraud case.

Mr Rabindra Kumar Satapathy, one businessman from Balasore district who is also a member of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee was associated with the company. He is staying in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi and associated with multiple businesses. The 145 crore fraud was also involved Vasant Kunj branch of Corporation Bank.

Case was filed at Mehrauli police station, New Delhi vide case no 2250/15 us 420/120B/34 IPC against Mr Satapathy and other two persons in connection with the above case. He was charged with Cheating and Dishonesty (420) and Criminal Conspiracy (120B).

In 2017 this fraud case was taken up by CBI. Non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) was issued against the trio. Police returned the NBW to court as the accused were not traceable or absconded. In December 2017 Saket Court in Delhi published a written proclamation requiring him (and other 2 accused) to appear before Metropolitan Magistrate.

According to a Times of India report published on 23 June 2017, CBI spokesperson confirmed about cases registered relating to bank fraud at Vasant Kunj branch of Corporation Bank, Delhi and the searches were also conducted on June 1, 2017 at 10 places. Report says, same group of private persons had allegedly floated various firms for the purpose of cheating the bank by taking loans on the basis of fake and forged documents.

The former chief managers, senior manager/branch manager of  the Corporation Bank and other private persons, private firm , including their proprietors and owners, mostly based in Delhi, an advocate and some unidentified persons had been booked by CBI. Mr Satapathy’s name was one among them.

However when asked about the case, Rabindra Kumar Satapathy told Odisha Story that he was no way involved in any such cases.

Mr Satapathy joined Congress and now he is involved in political activities in Simulia Assembly Constituency of Balasore district in Odisha. Reportedly his candidature was proposed by Odisha Congress for Simulia constituency.
