Permanent HC Bench Stir of W.Odisha Withdrawn Ahead General Elections

Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur: The Western Odisha lawyers who were demanding permanent High Court bench in the area withdrew their their cease-work stir and relay hunger strike today.

From 25th March the courts will function partially, sources said.

This decision came from the Senior lawyers and the members of the Bar Association keeping in view the latest development and for ensuring fare elections in the country and State.

However, the lawyers’ body also mentioned that the stir will be resumed if the process of demand of establishment of the permanent bench of HC in western Odisha is not initiated within three months after the formation of new Government.
