Odisha Media Conclave 2019 Unites Journalists

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s leading media and publishing house Odia Media hosted the first ever festival of journalism “Odisha Media Conclave 2019”at Jayadev Bhawan today.
This festival created more rooms to share ideas and personal experiences among friends from journalist fraternity. The one day event united journalists, representatives from educational institutions, politicians, policymakers and students together under one roof.
The opening session was inaugurated by Editor of Sambad Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Editor of Prameya Gopal Krishna Mohapatra and Resident Editor of Business Standard Dilip Satpathy. The meeting was presided over by Director of Odia Media Subhransu Panda.
The event was divided into four sessions.
The first session was elaborately discussed on ‘In the age of social media does TRP matter?’ by Manoranjan Mishra (Kanak News), Sanjay Jena (Argus TV), Sandeep Mishra (Odisha Bytes) and Resident Editor of Business Standard Dilip Satpathy.
The second session was discussed by Upendra Padhy (Institute of Media Studies), Nalin Patra (MAJMC Deptt, BJB Autonomous College), Tridev Mohanty(Academy of Management and IT) AND Jyoti prakash Mohapatra(IIMC, Dhenkanal) on ‘Are they really skilled?’.
‘Election: Politics and Media’ was the last session discussed by Golak Mohapatra (BJP), Satya Prakash Nayak (INC), Ranga Charan Pradhan (AAP), Subhashis Mohanty (The Telegraph) and Sandeep Sahu (Senior Journalist).
