Air Odisha Starts Operation in Gujarat

The sole chartered airline of Odisha and one of the non scheduled airlines of India, Bhubaneswar based company Air Odisha started its operation in Gujarat. Currently it is being operated in 4 cities, i.e. Ahmedabad, Diu, Jamnagar and Mundra.

On 24th February 2018, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Air Odisha’s flight connecting Ahmedabad with Diu under the Centre’s regional connectivity scheme UDAN.

The Ahmedabad-based GSEC Aviation and Monarch Networth Capital has acquired majority stake in Air Odisha. The GSEC Aviation is owned by Rakesh Ramanlal Shah, who is married to Prity, the sister of the Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani.

Last March, Air Odisha had received approvals to operate under 50 routes to foster regional connectivity.

Odisha’s Radhakanta Pani established the company in 2011.
