Kendrapara: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the post-cyclone situation in Kendrapara today. He also announced a package for facilitating restoration work in the district.
As many as 30 cyclone shelters at the rate of Rs 2 crore each will be constructed in vulnerable locations. For repair of damage caused to school buildings, Anganwadi centres and public utility assets owned by the panchayats, an assistance of Rs 2 lakh per structure will be provided, the CM announced.
Naveen patnaik said,
I have directed the district administration to take steps immediately for implementing the livelihood package for self-help groups, farmers and fishermen.
CM also assured people of the district that not a single eligible person will be left out. Wherever there are gaps in embankments, that would be strengthened, he added.
