Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s leading pre-school The Wisdom Tree Global School (TWIGS) Kindergarten is going to host a poetry meet on June 21, 2019 to mark the world poetry day. This event will be a part of The World Festival of Poetry (WFP) initiative that has been represented in more than 160 countries.
The WFP, stands its poetic activism on the power of the word to assert human rights, vindicating the dignity among nations, denouncing or combating injustices and always thinking about world peace. It’s named as InitiaKtives, fitting together the words Activism and Initiative.
The core theme of this worldwide event is “NO WAR – HUG PEACE.
The event in Bhubaneswar will be organised at the JP Naik Auditorium inside the school. Around 40 poets from Odisha will recite their poems in the event coordinated by poet Sangram Jena.
The guests poets at the event are Agnivesh Mahapatra, Ajay Swain, Ajit patra, Aparna Mohanty, Bhagyalipi Malla, Bharat Majhi, Bibhu Padhi, Chirashree Indrasingh, Deepak Samantrai, Gayatribala Panda, Gopa Nayak, Hiranmayee Mishra, Ipsita Mishra, ipsita sarangi, Jnanee Debasish Mishra, Mamata Tripathy, Prabasini Mahakhud, Pradeep Biswal, Prajnashree Rath, Prakash Mohapatra, Pramod Pradhan, Prasanna Swain, Rabindra Swain, Rakshak Nayak, Ratnamala Swain, Saroj Bal, Samarendra Mohapatra, saqti Mohanty, Senapati Pradyumna Keshari, Srustishree Naik, Subhashree Subhasmita Mishra, Subhransu Panda, Sunil Prusty, Suresh Nayak, Surya Mishra, Suvashree Lenka and Swapna Behera.
The event will be started at 5 pm.
