Padma Shri D Prakash Rao Hospitalised

Cuttack: Padma Shri D Prakash Rao, the famous tea seller from Cuttack, renowned for his work towards providing education to slum children in the state was admitted at SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack after he complained of chest pain on Tuesday.
Rao had gone to Angul to attend a programme when he fell ill. He was immediately rushed to Cuttack SCB where he has been admitted to the Medicine intensive care unit (ICU).
“Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep concern on the health condition of Padma Shri D. Prakash Rao who is undergoing treatment in SCB Medical College, Cuttack. CM wished him speedy recovery and directed @CuttackDM to ensure free medical facility and supervise his treatment,” tweeted the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Speaking to the media, Rao’s wife P Vijaylaxmi informed that Rao suddenly complained of chest pain and partial paralysis on one side of his body. The organisers of the event and his family members immediately took him to the hospital.
